About the Stjarna
The Schiit Audio Stjarna is an all-tube phono preamplifier that combines vintage tube technology with modern features. It uses four Russian-made 6N1P dual-triode tubes (two per channel) in a completely dual mono configuration with no step-up transformers, JFET pre-preamps, or hidden op-amps in the signal chain. The unit features pure Class A triode gain, dead-quiet power supplies with discrete CFP regulated high voltage supplies, and can accommodate virtually any cartridge type including moving magnet, moving coil, and moving iron designs. It includes dual inputs for two turntables, passive RIAA equalization, relay-based gain and loading selection, a switchable low-frequency filter, mono mode capability, physical IR remote control, and compatibility with Schiit's Forkbeard mobile app system (module sold separately). The Stjarna is manufactured in San Antonio, Texas with chassis, boards, and transformers sourced from California.
