About the Asgard

“Schiit Audio Asgard” refers to a discontinued family of US-made desktop headphone amplifiers rather than one single unchanged model. The final conventional version, Asgard 3, is a single-ended, fully discrete headphone amplifier and preamplifier using Schiit’s Continuity™ constant-transconductance output stage. It provides a rear-panel RCA line input, variable RCA preamplifier outputs, a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) headphone output, two selectable gain settings, and an internal linear power supply. Asgard 3 was offered either as an analog-only amplifier or with an optional internal DAC module. Earlier Asgard (original) and Asgard 2 models have materially different circuitry and specifications; the data below identifies the Asgard 3 version, which is normally meant by product listings simply titled “Asgard.” The original Asgard and Asgard 2 are also discontinued. The current successor line is the separately specified Asgard X.
