About the Fulla 2

The Schiit Fulla 2 is a second-generation compact desktop DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamp designed to deliver high-quality audio at a low price point. It uses an internal AKM AK4490 DAC that handles PCM audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, and incorporates a real Alps analog potentiometer for smooth, precise volume control. On the front panel it provides a 1/4" (6.3mm) headphone output and a 1/8" (3.5mm) analog line input, which bypasses the internal DAC when used. The rear panel includes two micro-USB ports -- one for USB audio plus power, and a second for power only -- allowing you to offload power to a separate 5V source. It also offers two 1/8" analog outputs on the back: a fixed line-level output for use as a standalone DAC, and a variable output controlled by the volume knob for use as a preamp into powered speakers. Output is rated up to about 550mW into 16 ohms, 360mW into 32 ohms, and 40mW into 300 ohms. Power is supplied via USB using internal switch-mode regulation.
