The SAEC WE 308 L 10.5" is a legendary long tonearm featuring a unique Double Knife-Edge bearing system that virtually eliminates mechanical play and friction, ensuring highly sensitive and precise tracking of vinyl grooves. It has an effective length of 270 mm and an overhang of 5 mm, with an offset angle of 11.2°. The tonearm is designed to accommodate cartridges weighing between 5.0 g and 12.5 g, making it suitable for both lightweight and heavier cartridges, including MC systems with low needle compliance. The bearing blades are ultra-precisely finished to 0.02 mm by skilled hand polishing, and synthetic ruby contact points enhance durability and sensitivity. It includes features such as a lateral balancer, automatic stylus pressure increment mechanism, and an oil piston elevator for smooth elevation. The headshell weighs approximately 7.3 g and the mounting hole diameter is 27 mm. This tonearm is highly regarded for its transparency, stable soundstage, and excellent tracking even on complex recordings.
