The Rogue Audio Tempest II is an upgraded version of the original Tempest, featuring improved sonics, increased power output from 60WPC to 90WPC, and a refined aesthetic with a new faceplate. It uses two 6SN7GT, two 12AX7LPS, and four KT88 power tubes for extended tube life and superior performance. Key features include a remote volume control, balance control, source selection (CD, phono/line, tape, tuner, aux, preamp), mute function, triode/ultralinear switch for mode selection, 4/8 ohm speaker taps, preamp input for power amp use, passive and active outputs for recording or subwoofer/bi-amping. The phono input is line-level only. It offers silky-smooth tube sound with incredible detail, suitable for demanding speakers. MSRP was $2695; used market prices range $1000-$2500. No longer in production.
