The Rogue Audio Tempest II is a sophisticated all-tube integrated amplifier that combines high-quality tube amplification with flexible design options. It delivers 90 watts per channel of pure tube power, a significant increase from the original Tempest's 60 watts. The amplifier features a user-selectable triode/ultralinear switch accessible from the front panel, allowing listeners to choose between lower distortion (triode mode) or maximum power (ultralinear mode). The design includes multiple input options for various sources, active and passive outputs for subwoofer integration or biamping, and an optional external preamp input. The amplifier is entirely designed and built in the USA and comes with a 3-year limited warranty (6 months on tubes). It is known for delivering silky-smooth sound with incredible detail characteristic of tube amplification, featuring improved imaging, deeper bass control, and a blacker background compared to earlier models.
