About the Hera II

The Rogue Audio Hera II is a reference caliber vacuum tube preamplifier developed after more than three years of research and development. It uses eight Russian military 6H30P tubes in a balanced design to deliver outstanding sonic performance characterized by amazing detail, smoothness, and refinement. The design avoids microprocessors and digital components to maintain near perfect signal integrity, employing a motorized TKD stepped attenuator for ultra-smooth volume control and heavy-duty silver switches for all functional switching. The chassis is a fully machined two-box aluminum design providing electrical isolation for a very low noise floor. Features include a phase invert button, balance bypass, processor loop, unity gain bypass, mono button, tape monitor, five gain settings, and remote control for volume and mute. Connectivity includes four sets of RCA inputs, two sets of RCA outputs, one balanced XLR input, two balanced XLR outputs, and a unity gain input. The Hera II is praised for its transparent analog gain, fast transients, tight bass, and ultra-accurate midrange tones, making it suitable for high-end audio systems.
