The Rogue Audio DragoN is a high-power hybrid tube/Class D stereo power amplifier that combines a 12AU7-based tube input stage with a Hypex NCore Class D output module (NC500), using Rogue's proprietary tubeD circuit to integrate the tube stage directly into the Class D section for tube-like sonics with high efficiency and low distortion. It delivers approximately 300 WPC into 8 ohms and 500 WPC into 4 ohms, uses a massive linear power supply with large toroidal transformer and high-grade parts, and is built on a heavy copper PCB with balanced (XLR) and single-ended (RCA) inputs, gold-plated binding posts, microprocessor-controlled turn-on and protection circuitry, and an aluminum faceplate in a compact, robust chassis suitable for demanding loudspeakers.
