About the 65V-2

The Rogers High Fidelity 65V-2 is a hand-built, all-tube stereo integrated amplifier using a single-ended Class A topology. It is the upgraded version of the 65V-1, adding higher output capability, a CNC-machined billet-aluminum front panel, high-gloss gold-fleck red (“Matador Gold”) powder-coated finish, LCD tube-status/bias monitoring, selectable triode and ultra-linear operation, and iPhone/iPad control via Bluetooth telemetry. It accepts either a matched pair of EL34 or KT88 output tubes without manual bias adjustment; its automatic-bias system monitors tube condition and provides advance replacement indication. Construction includes a heavy-gauge aircraft-grade aluminum chassis, toroidal linear power transformer, separate low-noise DC filament supply, point-to-point wiring with Teflon-coated silver-plated copper wire, and gold-plated solid-copper speaker binding posts. A dedicated headphone circuit and front-panel headphone jack are provided. The manufacturer still lists the 65V-2 in its product range, so it is not indicated as discontinued.
