About the Hyperion

Released around the year 2000, the Rockport Technologies Hyperion loudspeaker system is a high-end three-way, five-driver design. It uses custom Audiotechnology drivers combined with a Dynaudio Esotar tweeter arranged in a D'Appolito configuration on symmetrical carbon fiber composite baffles. The speaker is praised for its gorgeous tone color, tremendous dynamic ease and authority, natural instrumental size and scale, and superb treble and bass extension. It requires a large room and significant investment but is regarded as delivering sound quality close to the absolute ideal in high-fidelity reproduction.
