About the RME Digiface USB

The RME Digiface USB is a compact, bus-powered USB 2.0 digital audio interface designed to expand a computer-based recording or playback system through optical ADAT and S/PDIF connections. It provides four optical inputs and four optical outputs, supporting up to 32 digital input channels and 32 digital output channels at single-speed ADAT rates, plus a stereo analog 6.3 mm TRS line/headphone output. RME’s TotalMix FX software provides flexible low-latency routing and submix monitoring, while SteadyClock/PLL clocking supports stable synchronization to external ADAT or S/PDIF sources. It has no analog recording inputs, microphone preamps, MIDI, word-clock, AES/EBU, Ethernet, or wireless/streaming functions. The product remains listed by RME with current firmware and a February 2026 manual, so it is treated as currently manufactured.
