The Richard Gray's Power Company RGPC 400S is a four-outlet AC line conditioner housed in a powder-black rectangular chassis. It features a large iron-core inductor wired in parallel with the AC line, designed to provide a short-term supply of high current on demand to satisfy power-hungry transients required by audio and video equipment. This unique design helps to 'fill in' the AC line when demand momentarily exceeds supply, smoothing out small line anomalies and suppressing back EMF and AC line noise caused by internal crosstalk between digital and analog devices. The unit includes surge protection via a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) across the hot and neutral lines. It has four gray Hubbell AC sockets and an IEC mains-in fitting, with 14-gauge internal wiring and a detachable 15-amp IEC power cord. The RGPC 400S weighs approximately 20 lbs and measures 5.5" W x 9" H x 4.75" D.
