The Iso-Gray system by Richard Gray's Power Company consists primarily of the RGPC SubStation, a large 2.4 kW isolation transformer designed to provide clean, isolated power, and the RGPC 400 Pro, a parallel line inductor that acts as an electrical flywheel to stabilize and purify the AC power line. The SubStation is a substantial unit measuring 13.5" x 9.25" x 6.5" and weighing 70 pounds, rated for 120V or 240V input at 20 amperes. The 400 Pro weighs 30 pounds and is designed to eliminate AC line noise, surges, and spikes without limiting current. The system is configured by plugging the SubStation into the wall outlet and then the 400 Pro into one of the SubStation's four outlets. High current draw components like amplifiers are plugged directly into the SubStation, while front-end components and preamps go into the 400 Pro. This setup results in a cleaner, more stable power supply that reduces noise and improves audio performance, with a notable improvement in soundstage, bass impact, and overall clarity. The Iso-Gray system is handmade in the USA and is part of a modular power conditioning ecosystem by RGPC, which includes other devices like the Pole Pig and various parallel inductors for customization and expansion.
