About the B760
The Revox B-760 is a digital synthesizer stereo FM tuner produced between 1978 and 1982. It features a mono/stereo tuner with digital tuning scale covering the FM band from 87 to 107.975 MHz. The tuner offers high sensitivity at 2uV, a signal-to-noise ratio of 75dB, low distortion of 0.15%, and selectivity of 80dB. Its frequency response ranges from 30Hz to 15kHz, delivering an output of 1160mV. The unit measures 452 x 151 x 348 mm and weighs 12 kg. It includes advanced features such as 25, 50, or 75µs deemphasis, adjustable stereo and muting thresholds, oscilloscope outputs, and selectable 25kHz or 50kHz tuning steps. The B-760 can store up to fifteen stations in memory and supports an optional remote antenna rotator. It uses plug-in PCBs, plated RF shields, and a differential PLL loop with quartz clock for tuning accuracy of ±0.005%. The build quality is robust, reflecting Studer engineering standards. It is regarded as one of the best tuners of its era, offering a blend of analog sound quality with digital tuning precision.
