The Revel Concerta F12 is a high-performance three-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for both stereo and multichannel home theater systems. It features dual 8-inch Organic Ceramic Composite (OCC) woofers with die-cast frames and high-current voice coils for deep, authoritative bass down to 28 Hz (-10 dB). The midrange is handled by a 5.25-inch OCC cone driver with a 1-inch voice coil, optimized for natural tonal balance and minimal resonance. High frequencies are reproduced by a 1-inch OCC dome tweeter housed in a CAI-optimized waveguide for precise dispersion and increased dynamic range. The cabinet is made of thick MDF with substantial internal bracing to reduce resonance, and the crossover uses high-order filters at 575 Hz and 3 kHz with 3% tolerance components for consistency. The F12 supports bi-amping and bi-wiring and is magnetically shielded for placement near CRT displays. Available finishes include cherry, maple, and black ash. It is praised for its broad soundstage, explosive dynamic range, and timbral accuracy, making it suitable for demanding home entertainment setups.
