The C583 is an acoustically adaptable in-ceiling loudspeaker designed for high-fidelity audio reproduction in both music and home theater applications. It features an 8-inch micro-ceramic composite (MCC) woofer with a cast-aluminum frame and rubber surround for high output and low distortion, paired with a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter that is both aimable and equipped with an integrated waveguide for optimized on- and off-axis response. The speaker includes a three-position tweeter level control to tailor high-frequency output to room acoustics, and comes with both round and square paintable magnetic grilles for flexible décor matching. A high-order crossover network ensures accurate timbre reproduction, and the C-2 fastening mechanism allows for secure installation in ceilings with material thicknesses from 0.5" to 2.0" (1.3 cm to 5.0 cm).
