About the Storm

The REL Storm III is a British-built powered sub-bass system from REL's ST-III series, designed for high-end two-channel music systems as well as home theater use. It uses a downward-firing 10-inch long-throw driver in a heavily braced cabinet and is powered by an internal MOSFET amplifier (approximately 150W continuous) with REL's ARM loading and ABC semi-tone variable bass filter, enabling unusually deep extension and fine-grained crossover tuning for seamless integration with main speakers. The Storm III provides simultaneous high-level (Speakon) and low-level RCA inputs, with independently adjustable gains, so it can be optimized for both music and cinema signals at the same time. It was offered in multiple real-wood veneer finishes such as Black Ash, Cherry, Light Oak, Rosenut, Walnut and high-gloss black, reflecting its positioning as an audiophile subwoofer with furniture-grade appearance.
