The REL Acoustics S/812 is a mid-to-high-end sub-bass system that combines REL's medium chassis concept with reference-level performance. It features a 12-inch ContinuousCast Alloy cone with carbon fiber backing for enhanced power handling and a matching 12-inch down-firing SuperProgressive passive radiator with 30mm additional linear travel. The 800W NextGen5 Class D amplifier represents a 45% power increase over the previous generation, enabling both profound theater output and deep 2-channel music performance. The all-analog PerfectFilter crossover extends deep bass below 30Hz while maintaining air and delicacy in midrange frequencies. The S/812 is capable of stacking in line arrays and delivers controlled, articulate bass with minimal box resonance. Its sealed enclosure and sophisticated protection systems make it suitable for both music and film applications.
