It features a true 150W continuous discrete direct-coupled MOSFET amplifier and a downward-firing 250mm (9.84") long-throw driver with a heavy-duty cast chassis. The subwoofer is housed in an ultra-rigid 30mm thick cabinet finished in beautiful light cherry wood. It includes an improved ABC® filtering circuit with 24 musically correct semi-tone increments between 22Hz and 96Hz, and a four-position mode selector for line/LFE inputs with 0 and 180 degrees phase options. The unit offers audiophile-grade toroidal transformer, gas-tight Neutrik high-level connection, high-quality panel-mounted twin phono inputs at 0dB and +12dB, balanced high and low-level inputs (Neutrik/XLR), and separate volume controls for high and low-level inputs. It supports simultaneous connection of high and low-level sources and features Set-Safe® audibly transparent driver protection. The REL Storm mkIII is hand-built in Great Britain.
