About the G1 MKII

The REL G1 MKII is a reference series subwoofer that builds on the legacy of the original G1 with significant upgrades. It features a 12-inch (300mm) long-throw carbon fiber cone driver with an inverted carbon fiber dust cap, which is 25% stiffer in bending modes than its predecessor, allowing for better dynamic response and speed. The suspension travel permits over 2 inches of stroke, enabling exceptionally high output and nearly twice the loudness of the original model. The subwoofer is powered by a 600 Watt Class A/B MOS-FET amplifier, which is a 150 Watt increase over the previous G2 model, delivering powerful, fast, and controlled bass with ultra-reliable performance. The cabinet is a sealed, front-firing design with a curvilinear shape engineered to cancel standing waves, finished in a high-gloss piano black lacquer with 12 coats for an elegant appearance. The G1 MKII includes a palm-sized remote control for fine adjustments of gain, crossover frequency (20-90 Hz), phase (0-180 degrees), and output levels, allowing precise tuning from the listening position. Connectivity options include high-level Neutrik Speakon, low-level stereo RCA, LFE RCA, and LFE XLR inputs, plus high-level RCA, balanced XLR, and daisy chain outputs. The subwoofer weighs 108 lbs (49 kg) and measures 22.5" W x 18.2" H x 26.8" D (571.5 x 462 x 680.3 mm). It features a fully electronic protection system with SET-SAFE, DC fault, and output short circuit protection. The package includes a Neutrik Speakon interconnect cable (10 meters), mains lead, user manual, remote control, spikes, and batteries.
