About the DAP-777
The Reimyo DAP-777 is a meticulously designed digital-to-analog converter (DAC) featuring JVC's 20-bit K2 processing technology, renowned for its ability to restore original signal forms with high fidelity. It supports standard sampling frequencies of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, and 48kHz without upsampling, emphasizing natural and intimate sound reproduction. The unit includes multiple digital inputs: coaxial (RCA), optical (TOSLINK), BNC, and AES (XLR-3P), selectable via a front-mounted control knob. It offers both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog outputs with output voltages of 4.90 Vrms and 2.45 Vrms respectively. The DAC features a rear-panel 0-180° phase inverter switch and is housed in a single rack-space chassis with precise resonance control, including Harmonix tuning feet and galvanic isolation between digital and analog circuits. It consumes 13.5W of power and measures 17"(W) x 2.5"(H) x 13"(D), weighing 11.5 lbs. The DAP-777 is praised for its rich detail, dynamic range, harmonic smoothness, and neutrality across the frequency spectrum, excelling particularly with stringed instruments. It includes a grounding clamp for improved electrical grounding and comes with a 1.5m AC power cord. The DAC is manufactured by Combak Corporation in Japan and distributed in North America by May Audio Marketing, Inc.
