The Rega Nd7 is the flagship model in Rega's Nd series of moving magnet phono cartridges, developed over 10 years to deliver next-level performance from MM technology. It is the world's first MM cartridge to utilize an ultra-high powered Neodymium (Nd) N55 magnet, providing exceptional power and enabling a unique generator geometry with perfect symmetry for highly accurate channel balance. The Nd7 features miniaturized parallel coils wound in-house with 38-micron wire and only 1275 turns, resulting in low inductance, low impedance, and vastly improved high-frequency response. It has an optimized pole gap for superior linearity and low crosstalk, creating a far wider soundstage. The cartridge uses a fine line nude diamond profile stylus on an aluminum cantilever for exceptional tracking accuracy and detail extraction from the vinyl surface. Housed in a highly rigid, lightweight, zero-tolerance injection-molded glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) body, it employs Rega's 3-point fixing system for easy installation. Each Nd7 is handmade by skilled Rega technicians in the UK, comes in 100% recyclable packaging, and carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
