About the Elicit R

The Rega Elicit R integrated amplifier is engineered to the highest standards to provide exceptional audio performance while remaining simple to use and easy to set up. It features new and improved power amplifier circuits based on the successful Rega Brio-R amplifier, combined with FET discrete line level pre-amplifiers and a programmable stepped attenuator volume control for precise power delivery. The amplifier includes a high-quality built-in moving magnet phono stage optimized for vinyl playback, with a rear panel switch allowing the same input to be switched to a secondary line-level input for sensitive devices like external MM or MC phono stages. It also offers digital connectivity with one optical and one coaxial input, a high-performance Rega DAC circuit, four line-level inputs, headphone input, direct input, and record input. The Elicit R uses polypropylene capacitors throughout the signal path, improved power supplies, and a custom-designed case. Its output stage employs a low source Class A driver stage with complementary Darlington output transistors forming an emulated Class A driver stage. The amplifier is designed to run warm for optimal performance and comes with the Solaris system remote handset for full control. It has won multiple What Hi-Fi? awards for best stereo amplifier.
