About the Elicit MK5

The Elicit MK5 is designed and built to the highest standard, housed in a custom case matching the Rega range. It uses a multi-award-winning Class A/B power amplifier circuit delivering 105 W per channel into 8 Ω (127 W into 6 Ω, 162 W into 4 Ω). It features a new Rega DAC circuit with galvanically/optically isolated digital inputs (1 optical, 1 coaxial) utilizing a Wolfson S/PDIF receiver and DAC for exceptional detail and clarity. The amplifier includes a high-quality moving magnet phono stage, 4 line-level inputs, headphone output with speaker switching via output mute relay, Direct input, and Record input. The pre-amplifier circuit is discrete FET-based, shared with the acclaimed Aethos amplifier, and includes an Alps volume potentiometer for improved sonic and technical performance. Key components include discrete circuitry, high-quality relays, polypropylene capacitors, and Sanken output transistors. The Elicit MK5 supports sampling rates from 32 kHz to 192 kHz and bit depths from 16 to 24 bit. It weighs 12.5 kg and measures 432 x 82 x 340 mm (W x H x D). It comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
