The Rega Apollo 35th Anniversary is a special edition CD player released as a limited run of only 500 units. It features significant upgrades over the standard Apollo model, including a modified clock generator with reduced tolerance to minimize jitter, a more robust polypropylene condenser, and high-quality polymer electrolytic capacitors in the DAC circuits. The DAC uses a Wolfson WM8740 chip from a Scottish firm. The player comes with the original remote control and standard power lead. It is highly regarded for its flawless operation and musical performance, maintaining very good condition with minor cosmetic marks on the casing. This edition was produced around 2003-2004 and is considered a rare and collectible HiFi component.
