The Rega Aphelion 2 MC Cartridge is a hand-built, British-engineered moving coil cartridge designed to deliver reference-level performance with extraordinary detail, dynamics, and accuracy. It features an ultra-rigid, graded zero tolerance black anodised aluminium body machined from a single piece, ensuring precise alignment and minimal resonance. The cartridge uses a boron rod cantilever paired with a fine line nude diamond stylus for precise groove tracking and minimal distortion. Its iron micro cross and coil assembly is one of the world's smallest MC generators, combined with the world's most powerful miniaturized neodymium magnet, enabling exceptional signal transfer and musical detail extraction. The Aphelion 2 is undamped, with no tie wire or foam damper, relying on a unique rhomboid pivot design for the cantilever, which reduces high-frequency resonance and improves clarity. It is compatible with adjustable MC phono stages and comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
