About the Grand Veena

The Reference 3A Grand Veena is a high-efficiency floorstanding loudspeaker using a 7-inch woven-carbon-fiber full-range driver, a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter with a first-order high-pass filter, and a Murata ceramic super-tweeter extending the high-frequency response to approximately 100kHz. Bass is provided by two 8-inch fiberglass/Kevlar-honeycomb woofers in a folded, ported enclosure tuned to approximately 36Hz. The speaker has a rated sensitivity of 90dB, nominal impedance of 5 ohms, and power handling of 200 watts RMS. Its stated dimensions are 51 inches high, 10.3 inches wide, 19 inches deep at the base and 6 inches deep at the top, with an approximate weight of 75 pounds per speaker. Reference 3A also incorporated proprietary resonance- and vibration-control treatments, including Bybee purifiers and AVM fluid technology.
