About the 1H

The Reed 1H is an entry-level tonearm from Reed featuring carbon fiber as its primary armwand material, with soft wood damping used to make its acoustic behavior closer to wooden armwands. It uses a cardanic bearing system with thrust rotation bearings on the vertical axis and thrust pivot bearings on the horizontal axis, a design intended to reduce bearing wobble during playback. The tonearm includes azimuth adjustment, VTA adjustment, a replaceable headshell, and magnetic antiskate. It is available in multiple effective lengths and finishes, and can be configured with either a 5-pin DIN connector or Finewire 37 cables. The product is sold as a tonearm, not a loudspeaker or cartridge.
