The RBH Sound 821, currently marketed by RBH Sound as the Premier 821, is a large passive two-way freestanding/bookshelf loudspeaker designed for high-output stereo and home-theater use. It employs a D’Appolito-style arrangement with two 8-inch black-anodized aluminum-cone mid-woofers flanking a large air-motion-transformer (AMT) tweeter. Its high sensitivity and substantial recommended amplifier range make it suitable for medium-to-large listening rooms, provided the amplifier is comfortable driving a nominal 4-ohm load. The cabinet is constructed from high-density fiberboard and is available in satin black or satin white, with a magnetic grille included. RBH’s current product listing indicates that it remains manufactured and available; therefore, it should not be classified as discontinued.
