About the Blackhawk MK3.1

The Blackhawk MK3.1 is Raven Audio's step-up integrated tube amplifier in the Avian MK3.1 series, positioned above the Nighthawk and sharing its basic 20-watt-per-channel push-pull ultra-linear topology while adding a more sophisticated preamp section and upgraded audiophile-grade internal components for greater detail and dynamics. It delivers 20 watts per channel into 8 ohms with very high current and a wide 20 Hz-20 kHz bandwidth, allowing it to drive typical speakers with authority that many listeners find competitive with far higher-rated solid-state amplifiers when used with appropriately sensitive speakers. The amplifier is self-biasing, uses a tube complement of four 6L6GC output tubes plus six small-signal tubes (12AT7/12AU7) in the preamp and driver stages, and provides five stereo RCA inputs, 4/8-ohm speaker taps, and a stereo RCA subwoofer/variable output. It is part of Raven's Avian MK3.1 integrated tube amplifier line, built in the U.S.A. with upgraded studio-grade Neutrik RCA connectors and robust chassis construction aimed at long-term reliability.
