The Quicksilver V4 Mono Amplifier is a hand-wired, point-to-point tube amplifier introduced in 1998 and updated in 2014 with a new output transformer to increase power output. It delivers 170 watts into 4 or 8 ohms using KT150 output tubes, though it can also use EL34s, 6550s, or KT88s. The amplifier features separate power supplies for the output stage to maintain sound quality at maximum power, and individual bias controls for each output tube with a mounted bias meter. It is designed for long-lasting performance with low screen voltage on output tubes, extending tube life to thousands of hours. The V4 is praised for its powerful, musical, and effortless sound, combining fast attack with rich harmonic resolution, and is considered a flagship model in the Quicksilver line. It has a nickel chassis with carbide black capacitor and transformer covers, weighs 51 lbs, and measures approximately 7.87" high by 13.75" deep by 16.75" wide. The amplifier comes with a 3-year parts and labor warranty and 90-day tube warranty.
