The Quad Platina CDT is a premium CD transport designed for audiophiles, part of the Platina range that matches the Platina Integrated amplifier and Platina Stream in aesthetics and performance. It outputs a pure digital signal via coaxial and optical outputs for external DAC processing, emphasizing low jitter, vibration control, and noise isolation through features like a steel chassis with anti-resonance feet, shielded transport mechanism, temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) with dedicated regulator, Noratel toroidal transformer, and separate power supplies for motor/laser, decoder, and display. Supports Red Book CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, data CDs, and USB storage with hi-res files (FLAC, WAV, WMA, AAC, MP3, APE).
