The Quad 3CDT is a precision-engineered CD transport optimized for disc reading accuracy, timing stability, and signal purity, serving as the ideal companion to the Quad 3 integrated amplifier. It employs a high-precision CD mechanism with custom servo control, dual-core processing (32-bit RISC CPU and dedicated MCU), temperature-controlled ultra-low-jitter crystal oscillator (TCXO), and isolated low-noise power regulation to minimize read errors, jitter, and distortion. Supporting CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and data discs with FLAC, WAV, WMA, MP3, APE files, it delivers clean S/PDIF digital output via coaxial and optical interfaces. Housed in a compact, retro-styled chassis matching the Quad 3, it features a large orange-backlit LCD display and remote control, ensuring exceptional musical coherence and compatibility with any standard DAC.
