About the 1500+ QSA modding
The PurePower 1500+ is a regenerating power supply unit that maintains a stable 120 volt output (+/- 1%) with up to 92% energy efficiency and a power factor greater than 0.9. It uses three batteries to provide 36 DC volts internally, which are then converted to the required AC voltage, adjustable between 100 to 130 volts and 40 to 70 Hz. The unit is designed to stabilize AC power, reduce surges, spikes, transients, and harmonic distortion, and provide backup power during outages or brown-outs, ensuring continuous and clean power delivery to audio components. The 1500+ model is roughly equivalent in output wattage to the older PurePower 2000 model, rated at 1500 Volt-Amps, and features a single chassis weighing less than 50 pounds for easier handling. QSA modding refers to specialized modifications involving QSA fuses and sockets to further enhance audio performance by improving power quality and reducing noise. The unit includes multiple high-quality output receptacles and is compatible with various power cords and accessories for audiophile setups.
