The Pure Digital i-20 is a compact and affordable digital dock designed for iPod and iPhone devices. It extracts the raw digital audio signal from the docked device and processes it internally using a Cirrus Logic 4353 DAC capable of 24-bit/192kHz resolution, delivering a claimed 105dB signal-to-noise ratio and 2V RMS output via stereo RCA analog outputs. It also provides digital audio outputs via optical (TOSLINK) and coaxial (S/PDIF) connectors for connection to external DACs. The i-20 supports video output in component (YPbPr), composite, and S-Video formats, allowing playback of video content on compatible TVs. The dock charges the connected iPod/iPhone and includes a credit card-sized remote control. Its sturdy construction and compact dimensions (117 x 135 x 75 mm) make it a practical solution for improving audio quality from Apple devices, outperforming the iPod's own analog output and offering a budget-friendly entry point to digital audio playback.
