About the T845 Mono
The Psvane T-845 Mono Amplifiers are a pair of power monoblocks designed to combine the smooth midrange sound of 300B tubes with the power of 845 vacuum tubes. Each amplifier uses a 300B tube to drive a pair of 845 tubes in a parallel single-ended triode (SET) configuration, producing 50 watts of pure Class A power per channel. This design addresses the common audiophile complaint that 300B amps lack sufficient power for regular efficiency speakers, allowing the T-845 to drive speakers with 84-89dB sensitivity while maintaining the silky smooth 300B sound and the large soundstage characteristic of 845 tubes. Unlike typical push-pull 845 designs that can suffer from crossover distortion, the T-845 uses a parallel SET circuit to eliminate this issue and double the power output of regular SET amps. The amplifiers feature a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, less than 1.5% total harmonic distortion, and an 85 dB signal-to-noise ratio. They operate on AC 120V 60Hz power and consume 300 watts per channel. Each amplifier weighs approximately 44 kg (97 lbs) and measures 16.5" wide by 23" deep by 10.5" high. The package includes 4 x 845 tubes, 2 x 300B tubes, and 2 x 6SN7 tubes. These amplifiers are highly regarded for their build quality and sonic performance, offering a powerful and refined listening experience for audiophiles seeking the unique qualities of 845 and 300B tubes combined in a single-ended design.
