The PS Audio DirectStream DAC MK2 is the successor to the acclaimed DirectStream DAC, offering a new level of sonic excellence in digital audio playback. It features a fully balanced design, galvanic isolation on all inputs and outputs, and a built-in volume control that enables it to function as a digital preamp. The MK2 converts all input signals to a high-sample-rate 50-bit version, then to pure DSD, and finally to analog, providing a remarkably natural sound with extraordinary resolution, depth, dynamic impact, and freedom from digital artifacts. It supports PCM sources up to 705.6 kHz and DSD up to 256, and its FPGA-based architecture allows for future software upgrades. The unit is available in silver or black and is designed to match other PerfectWave components.
