About the Response D1
The ProAc Response D1 is a two-way standmount loudspeaker that succeeded the acclaimed Response 1SC. It features a slimmer baffle for better dispersion, heavy inert cabinet with special damping, a new 5-inch (130mm) ProAc bass/midrange driver with glass fibre weave cone, raised spider, EXCEL magnet system, and acrylic damping phase plug, paired with a ProAc 3/4-inch dome tweeter with honeycomb voice coil, special damping, and ferrofluid cooling. The crossover uses premium components on a dedicated board with oxygen-free copper cable, supporting bi-wiring/bi-amping. It delivers punchier bass, richer midrange, and sweet highs, with 1.5 dB higher efficiency than its predecessor, ideal for low-power amplifiers. Stand-mounted design with acoustically transparent grille, available in finishes like Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, and premium Rosewood or Ebony.
