About the Response D-28

The ProAc Response D-28 is a two-way, reflex-loaded floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver high-quality sound with a detailed soundstage and powerful, natural bass. It features a 6.5-inch coated polypropylene cone bass/midrange driver and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter with special surround and air cooling. The cabinet is constructed with high rigidity and heavy damping, finished in a range of real wood veneers including Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Bird's Eye Maple, and Ebony. The design includes a new plinth and side vent arrangement that enhances bass quality and room interaction, making placement less critical. The crossover network uses high-quality components and oxygen-free copper wiring, supporting bi-wiring and bi-amping. Recommended amplification ranges from 10 to 200 watts, suitable for valve or class A transistor amplifiers. Dimensions are 42.5 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 11.25 inches deep, with a weight of 60 lbs (27 kg) per cabinet.
