About the Response 5
The ProAc Response 5 is a highly regarded loudspeaker known for its natural sound quality, excellent detail, sweet high frequencies, and exceptional soundstage. It features a 5-inch long throw bass/midrange driver with a Pagani Mika cone and acoustic coating, paired with a 1-inch ProAc silk dome tweeter with air cooling and inner damping. The crossover uses finest components on a dedicated circuit board with multistrand oxygen-free copper cable throughout, allowing optional bi-wiring or bi-amplification. The speaker is designed for stand or shelf mounting and comes with an acoustically transparent crimplene grille. It is handmade in England and available in various real wood veneers including Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Oak, with Rosewood and Ebony available at extra cost.
