About the CD Box RS2 T

The Pro-Ject Audio Systems CD Box RS2 T is a high-end, top-loading CD transport designed to send CD audio to an external DAC or compatible digital preamplifier. It uses StreamUnlimited’s CD-Pro 8 mechanism with Blue Tiger CD-84 servo electronics, a suspended and vibration-damped assembly, and a solid-aluminium transport chassis mounted in a carbon-fibre support structure. It provides AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF, optical S/PDIF, and Pro-Ject-compatible I²S plus master-clock output. The HDMI I²S connection is intended for use with compatible Pro-Ject RS2 components, particularly the Pre Box RS2 Digital, and is not a universal HDMI audio connection. The unit has no analogue audio outputs or built-in DAC. Official product information identifies Red Book CD-DA support; the supplied/manual documentation additionally lists finalized CD-R, CD-RW, and Hybrid-SACD compatibility.
