The device up-samples all incoming digital streams to higher sample rates (44.1, 88.2, 176.4 kHz up-sampled to 352.8 kHz; 48, 96, 192 kHz up-sampled to 384 kHz) and offers two selectable digital filter settings: a "Brick Wall" FIR filter and an "Apodizing" IIR filter, allowing users to tailor the sound to their preference. It has a 2.1V RMS output voltage for a clear audio path without unnecessary capacitors. The USB Box S+ is housed in a solid aluminum and metal chassis matching the Box Design 'S' series aesthetic.
