The Pro-Ject RPM-3 Carbon is a belt-driven turntable designed for audiophiles seeking high-quality vinyl playback. It features a 300mm MDF platter with an integrated vinyl mat and an inverted platter bearing system using a stainless steel axle and ceramic ball, which helps reduce rumble and noise. The turntable supports both 33 and 45 rpm speeds, with manual speed change. It includes a 10-inch S-shaped tonearm made from carbon fiber, aluminum, and resin, which is suitable for both MM and MC cartridges due to its rigidity and damping properties. The tonearm features a magnetic antiskating mechanism and a TPE-damped counterweight. The RPM-3 Carbon is powered by an outboard 15V DC motor, which is driven by an ultra-precision AC generator for enhanced speed stability. The turntable comes with a universal power supply and is compatible with a wide range of phono cartridges, including the Ortofon 2M Silver and Sumiko Amethyst MM cartridges.
