About the CD31

The Primare CD31 Compact Disc Player is designed for the highest possible audio performance, using an advanced DVS DSL-710A ultra-silent transport mechanism and four 24-bit/96kHz Burr-Brown PCM1704 K-grade digital-to-analog converters configured in a truly balanced design. It features both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, as well as multiple digital outputs including coaxial SPDIF, optical TOSlink, and professional AES/EBU XLR. The player is housed in a heavy gauge alloy steel chassis for strength, rigidity, and vibration damping, with isolated power supplies for digital, analog, and transport circuits to maximize signal purity. The user interface is simple and intuitive, with six front panel buttons and a remote control, and it supports integration with other Primare components via RS232 and intercomponent data link. The CD31 offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-0.5 dB), a signal-to-noise ratio of 105 dB, and harmonic distortion below 0.01%. It consumes 34 W during operation and 16 W in standby mode. Dimensions are 430 x 385 x 100 mm, and it weighs 10.5 kg. Available colors include Black and Titanium.
