About the SPA22
The Primare SPA22 is a high-quality 5.1 channel integrated amplifier delivering 5x120 watts into 8 ohms using Primare's proprietary Ultra Fast Power Device (UFPD) Class D amplification technology. It is the successor to the award-winning SPA21 and offers significant advances in design, performance, and user flexibility. The SPA22 features a modular design housed in a heavy-duty steel chassis, allowing easy upgrades of DSP, video, and connections with proprietary Primare boards. It supports multi-channel PCM, Dolby Digital, Prologic IIX, EX 7.1, DTS, DTS-ES 6.1, Neo6, and DVD-A & SACD 7.1 inputs. The unit includes 3 HDMI inputs (v1.3), component, S-Video, and composite video inputs and outputs, with re-routable front channels in 7.1 mode. It offers extensive connectivity including 10 analog audio inputs, multiple digital inputs (optical and coaxial), and outputs for zone 2 and main speakers. The SPA22 also supports HD audio upgrades for lossless formats like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. It weighs 15 kg and measures 430 x 180 x 385 mm (WxHxD). The amplifier is available in titanium or black finishes and includes a Primare C22 remote control. It is no longer in production but remains a highly regarded integrated amplifier for home theater and hi-fi use.
