About the D30.2
The Primare D30.2 CD player is designed for audiophiles seeking high fidelity sound reproduction from their CD collections. It uses a top-of-the-range Sony transport mechanism combined with a precision crystal clock oscillator to ensure low jitter and excellent audio performance. Digital to analog conversion is performed by four Burr-Brown PCM1704 DACs in a fully balanced analog signal path to maintain signal accuracy and reduce interference. The player features separate isolated power supplies for digital and analog circuits, resulting in an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range. Mechanical design minimizes noise and electromagnetic interference for accurate disc tracking. The front panel isolates display circuitry from audio circuitry to avoid interference. The user interface is simple and intuitive, accessible via seven front panel buttons or remote control. Outputs include balanced and unbalanced analog outputs and a gold-plated S/PDIF digital output. The D30.2 is praised for its transparency, low distortion, and ability to recreate the original recording ambience with clarity and openness. It is recommended for hardcore audiophiles seeking a stylish, well-built, and great-sounding CD player without excessive features or tweak options.
