About the CD32

The Primare CD32 is a high-performance CD player designed to deliver exceptional audio quality. It features a dedicated CD transport mechanism, which includes a five-second buffer memory for jitter suppression and protection against mechanical shock. The player uses twin Burr-Brown PCM1704 digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and a DF1706 digital filter, allowing for upsampling of the 44.1kHz CD signal to 48kHz or 96kHz. This upsampling enhances sound detail, stage depth, and image separation. The CD32 supports playback of MP3 or WMA files via USB or disc, making it versatile for users with diverse music collections. It offers both balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs, along with digital outputs via coaxial SPDIF, optical TOSlink, and AES/EBU XLR. The player is housed in a robust alloy heavy-gauge steel chassis, providing strength and effective screening. It is available in black and titanium finishes.
