About the A34.2
The Primare A34.2 is a two-channel power amplifier delivering 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo mode and up to 550 watts in bridged mono mode. It employs Primare's proprietary UFPD (Ultra Fast Power Device) Class D amplification technology, which provides instantaneous rise time, wide bandwidth, low distortion, and high efficiency with minimal heat generation. The amplifier features balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs, gold-plated speaker terminals, trigger and RS232 control inputs, and a robust alloy steel chassis for vibration damping. It includes a preamp stage with Burr-Brown OPA2134 and Analog Devices AD8512 op-amps, maintaining constant gain and input impedance. The A34.2 is designed to integrate seamlessly with Primare's PRE32 preamplifier and other high-end preamps or multi-channel processors. Its compact size, low noise, and low heat output make it suitable for enclosed installations. The amplifier was produced from around 2011 to 2016 and is highly regarded for its speed, power, and sound quality.
