The Power Sound Audio S42 Ipal is a premium powered subwoofer designed to deliver the very best home theater experience with fast, dynamic bass and cinema-quality sound. It features dual opposing 21 inch Italian IPAL woofers arranged in a mass cancelling orientation inside a sealed CNC machined MDF enclosure that is heavily braced and finished with a durable textured material. The subwoofer is powered by a 4000W RMS (6000W peak) cabinet-mounted amplifier with a DSP-based feature board that includes gain, crossover, phase, and room size controls for precise integration into any system. The amplifier uses an innovative post-filter feedback class-D topology with power MOSFET transistors for up to 95% efficiency and quiet fan-less operation. Inputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, with protection features for DC, overload, shorts, and overheating. The subwoofer measures 34" x 24" x 24" with grilles and weighs 200 lbs unboxed. It offers a frequency response of 12Hz to 200Hz anechoic (+/-3dB) and in-room extension down to 5Hz to 9Hz. The package includes two acoustically transparent fabric grilles, owner's manual, 6' AC power cord, and furniture sliders. This model is special order only and assembled in the USA.
