The Plinius Kaitaki Preamplifier is a modest yet versatile unit that sets a new benchmark for separates in the Plinius range. It aesthetically complements the Plinius P10 power amplifier and is an ideal partner for the SA103 and SA-Reference power amplifiers. It supports up to five source components, including balanced and single-ended inputs, and includes a processor loop for home theatre integration. The unit features a rotary volume knob and source selection buttons on the front panel, with additional functions controlled by a distinctive Plinius remote. LED indicators display source selection and status of mute, phase, and HT bypass functions. The optional phono stage supports MM/MC cartridges with adjustable gain and loading settings. The preamplifier uses Auricap XO capacitors and Auric OFC wiring for superior clarity and dynamic ability. Its aluminium construction reduces magnetic interference. The electronics design is derived from Plinius' later integrated amplifiers, with a low-impedance power supply for optimal audio performance.
